My teaching domains are the Enzymology, Technology of Enzymes, Extraction and Purification
of protein,Biochemistry, Nutrition, Methods of Research, and Scientific English.
My primary research interest is the study of the effect of fasting during the holy month of
Ramadan on patients with type 2 diabetes. I've been researching in this area for over 10 years.
I am interested in research methods; epidemiology and biostatistics; health of adolescents groups;
and promoting the use of routine data collections for research purposes.
Currently member in:
the Mediterranean Group for the Study of Diabetes (MGSD);
the Gulf Group for the Study of Diabetes (GGSD);
Institute for Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism (IDOM) of the University of Pennsylvania, USA;
the European Society for Pediatric Research (ESPR);
and Société Québécoise de Lipidologie Nutrition et Métabolisme, CANADA (SQLNM) .
